As I delved deeper into Class Dojo, I became increasingly concerned about Privacy. The platform collects and stores important student data, including behavior records and personal information. While Class Dojo claims to prioritize data security, the potential risks associated with storing sensitive student information on a third-party platform made me uneasy.
2. Limited Learning Opportunities
ClassDojo places maximum focus on behavior management, due to which it sometimes deviates from the primary objective of education. It incentivizes the student through marks and rewards, which can distract the students from the intrinsic joy of learning.
I realized that the emphasis on behavior tracking was limiting the holistic development of my students.
3. Negative effect of point system on students
Class Dojo gives marks to the students in each of its activities, due to which there is always an atmosphere of competition among the students. Because of its marks-based system, students often feel that they are being judged and compared constantly.
In such a situation, many students do not actively participate in the activities and try to avoid them.

4. Lack of Individualized Feedback
Class Dojo’s feedback system mainly depends on the points system and general comments. In this, I found it challenging to provide meaningful and personalized feedback to each student. I believe that individualized feedback is vital to fostering student success.

Class Dojo aimed to improve behavior management, but it failed to address students’ emotional and behavioral complexities. Its rewards and punishments system simplified the multifaceted nature of student behavior, which is not good for the student.
6. Time-Consuming and Inefficient
ClassDojo takes time to track and update each student’s behavior record, leaving the student less focused on actual instruction and individualized support. When I use Class Dojo, most of my time goes into it.
